Citricos – Grand Floridian

Citricos is one of my favorite restaurants at WDW. It’s elegant, yet not overly formal, and they always come up with a memorable vegan meal for us.

This trip was on my birthday, Sept 2013.

We started with a couple vegan breads to choose from.

And a Tomato Tea Soup. The presentation on this was really fun. They brought the bowl with the vegetables and then poured the tomato tea broth on top.

They have a Seared Tofu vegan entree on the menu. It has tofu and lentils and veggies in a tomato-based sauce. It’s wonderful!

The chef made us a second entree out of several vegan items. Mashed potatoes with olive oil and garlic; pea risotto; specialty mushrooms; and roasted root vegetables. Those mashed potatoes were the best I’ve ever had! I particularly loved all the root vegetables as well.

Dessert was a lovely citrus sorbet with fresh berries.

I know I can always count on Citricos for an excellent vegan meal!
