Food and Wine Festival Culinary Demonstrations 2014

During EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival, the Festival Welcome Center hosts daily Culinary Demonstrations by Disney chefs and chefs from around the world. Demonstrations last 45 minutes, food samples are provided, and the cost is $15 per guest (in addition to your chosen method of admission to Epcot).

I’ve gone through Disney’s schedule for the event and removed all the obviously non-vegetarian demonstrations to make for easier planning. There are several demonstrations labeled as “vegetarian” and several others (mainly desserts) that could possibly be vegetarian, but very likely not vegan. I don’t know if some of the vegetarian labeled demos will be coincidentally vegan. Most of the vegetarian dishes are actually vegan at a couple of the presenting chef’s restaurants (Sanaa, Tusker House), so we may get some bonus vegan demos.

Do not count on all the pastry demonstrations being vegetarian, and do not count on all the vegetarian demonstrations being vegan. There are also some “Mushroom Blend” demos, and I don’t know what the mushrooms are going to be cooked with–it’s possible it could end up veg, but I’m guessing it most likely won’t be.

There is only one demonstration labeled as vegan, and it is on Monday October 20th, at 3:00pm; by Chef Jason Stefanko, presented by Gardein.

Note: Chef TJ is doing a (non-veg) demo on Nov 10th–so on Monday, November 10th, it is very likely TJ will NOT be at Trail’s End for dinner, as he is presenting at the Food and Wine Fest at 5:00pm.
